ARX's newest trainer, Lindsey Potter, is a fitness fanatic. OK, perhaps fanatic isn't quite the right term. Let's call her a serious sports and fitness enthusiast. "I've been involved in sports my entire life, and was heavily involved in competitive soccer in my school days. I played on high school and travel teams and was heavily involved in the sport," Lindsey said. "I enjoyed sports so much that in college (University of Rhode Island) I worked in the Athletic Department's Sports Information Office. In fact, it was my love for sports and fitness that led me to my current career with the Patriots organization."
Lindsey is in her ninth season as a marketing manager for the Kraft Sports Group, managing team relationships and working closely with the partners of the NE Patriots and NE Revolution to effectively align their brands with the team brand for the greatest exposure. (Prior to settling in at Gillette, Lindsey worked with the Media Relations and Sports Information department at Providence College from 2004 - 2010.)
Not content to just watch sports and fitness happening around her, Lindsey sought to get more involved. "I wanted to be on the front lines of fitness, helping share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others," she said. "That's why I decided to become a personal trainer."
Lindsey received her personal training certification in May 2014 and immediately accepted a position at ARX. "The timing was perfect for me," she said. "There was an unexpected opening, I had already experienced ARX as a client so I knew what it was all about, and I was eager to begin my training career."
When not working for the Kraft Group or running ARX classes, Lindsey can be found volunteering for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. She participates in therapeutic activities with patients and serves as a fundraising planning committee member for two annual events. And she has been a proud member of their Young Professionals Group since March of 2011.
A New Hampshire native, Lindsey currently resides in South Boston. If you see her around the gym, please give her a big ARX welcome!
