Longtime employee and head trainer Jason Sylvester is the proud new owner of Athletic Republic Norwood and ARX. He took the reigns on April 1, 2016 from PJ Vande Rydt, who opened Massachusetts' only Athletic Republic franchise in 2009.
"I'm excited for this opportunity to build on the successful programs that PJ launched at Athletic Republic," Jason said. "I aim to continue to offer our athletes, their families and our adults the highest quality training experiences delivered in a family friendly and supportive environment."
An Ithaca College graduate with a degree in Clinical Exercise Science, Jason came to Athletic Republic from BlueStreak Sports Training, an Athletic Republic affiliate in Stamford, Connecticut, in 2010. He's worked with NFL, MLB, semi-pro basketball, tactical and D1 athletes, as well as active adults.
As new owner, Jason will no doubt put his stamp on Athletic Republic with new training experiences, packages and ideas.
What does this mean for ARX? Great things!
In the short term, look for an expanded class schedule - 9:30 am classes will again be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 5 - and more lenient membership contracts. Beginning immediately, members are no longer locked into a 6-month or annual commitment. They can elect to go month-to-month. The only requirement is 30 days written notice to cancel.
ARX currently offers two membership types: 2x per week for $49/month, and unlimited for $99/month. Tell your friends! ARX is a dynamic community of adults who enjoy fitness and enjoy working out in our small-to-midsize group format.
If you see Jason around the gym, wish him hearty congratulations!
